Very little known about this well which is located on the hillside above Lynton and near the Valley of the Rocks. It is in a small overgrown coombe close to some old quarry workings and is now covered by modern concrete slabs and other evidence nearby suggests the spring has been used for agricultural purposes. The parish church in Lynton was dedicated to John the Baptist c.1755 and this was changed some three decades later to Mary; possibly the Lady Well name may be evidence of an early link with Mary. Listed in the Devon Sites and Monuments Register.
