This is a small stone structure situated beside the old A30 road in the village and from which a pipe takes the water in to a stone-lined trough. An inscription on the well reads" Lady Well. Drink and be thankful". A few yards down the road in the village, a plaque on the wall next to the Methodist Chapel notes that water was piped here to celebrate the Jubilee of Queen Victoria and I assume the use of the Lady Well declined from that time.Listed in Devon Sites and Monuments Register
